The main industry in Charlotte is banking. Many major roads lead into Charlotte which is good for industry. Charlotte is a very urbanized, and modernized city. Most people in Charlotte live in apartment buildings and have to walk to work. In a recent study Charlotte was ranked the 8th most polluted city in the U.S.
